How Mavloom Visual Product Search Works
By Mavloom · Published and updated
Mavloom visual product search starts with images and uses words, categories and business filters to narrow the public catalog. Open a creative for its context, inspect the linked product if you need more detail, then follow the original publisher’s website. No image upload or on-site checkout is required.
Step 1: browse an image, not an assumed offer
The homepage presents public creatives in a visit-based shuffled order with business diversity. The order is for discovery, not a claim that the first item is the best or cheapest. Explore provides the more stable browsing view. A different artwork can still link to a product you have already seen.
Look for a specific object or use in the image, then read the title. Branded artwork may contain promotional text or a printed button that is part of the image. Use the actual page controls to inspect details; do not assume every label inside a picture is interactive.
Step 2: search with the item’s name and use
For a painting tool, try “palette knife” rather than simply “knife.” For storage, describe the item and intended room instead of a broad adjective such as “useful.” Clear product terms make it easier to interpret results. Search depends on the public catalog’s supplied titles and descriptions; it cannot reveal private, unpublished or missing items.
In Explore, narrow by the available category or business. Category labels help organize the catalog but can be imperfect. If a result’s category conflicts with its title or picture, inspect the details and use Report when appropriate. Empty results mean no matching public content was returned, not that the item does not exist elsewhere.
Step 3: open the creative and its associated product
A creative detail page shows the artwork, supplied context, credited publisher and original-site action. Where a product is linked, View product details opens the underlying item record. This distinction is useful when multiple creative images promote one item: compare the actual product information, not just the campaign wording.
Check the supplied price, description and publisher name. Mavloom’s details are not independent testing. Confirm measurements, compatibility, variant and current availability at the linked destination or retailer before relying on them. A saved creative is a bookmark, not a reservation or purchase.
Step 4: continue to the original website deliberately
The external action opens the original promoter or store link. An affiliate publisher may provide more context and then forward you to a retailer. Review the destination’s identity and disclosures. If you proceed with a purchase, the retailer—not Mavloom—controls checkout and order support.
Sign in to save an interesting discovery for later. If a link is broken, credit appears wrong or content is misleading, Report is the relevant control. Discovery should help you investigate; it should not replace your own checks of the item or the selling website.
Save and revisit discoveries without mistaking bookmarks for a cart
Sign in and use Save on the creative or product you want to revisit. Your Saved items screen keeps these as distinct types: saving a campaign image is not the same as saving its underlying product. Use the item’s detail page to identify the original publisher and check whether several artworks refer to the same record. No checkout, stock reservation or price lock happens when you save.
Try a concrete search such as “palette knife,” open a result and inspect the painting-tools category and product context. If you narrow by Business, remember that results now represent that publisher’s public content rather than the entire catalog. Clear removes the search and filters together; changing a filter starts from the first page. Browser Back returns to the previous URL state, although the homepage’s next fresh visit can have a different shuffled order.
If nothing matches, widen one filter at a time. If a page temporarily fails, retry the current discovery rather than interpreting the error as proof that the product was deleted. Saved references can become unavailable when rights or publication status changes. Personal saving does not make private posts public, and there is no implemented collection-building promise in this workflow.
Questions about this workflow
Can I buy the item from the image on Mavloom?
No. Open its context and use the original-site link; purchases happen outside Mavloom.
Why do I see more than one image for an item?
Several creatives may link to the same product record. They are different presentations, not necessarily different products.
